Can I use an inground pool heater for an above ground pool?

I wanted to purchase a Hayward H400FDN Natural Gas Pool Heater for my 20' Above Ground Pool. Can I do this or would I have to go with the above ground pool heaters. The reason for wanting to do this is because I want it to heat quicker. I Have a 1 1/2 HP Sand Filter.
