How do i get rid of roaches coming up my drain in my kitchen?its grossing me out?

I have roaches coming up my drain.Its getting worse over the last month.Now there making babies.I bought borax.How do i use it?Will it get rid of them or do i need a pest control?Do they bite?I think they are water bugs
